Optimal economic dispatch of hybrid microgrids integrating Energy Storage Systems with Grid-Forming Converters

چکیده

New control strategies based on Grid-Forming converters make possible the operation of isolated microgrids without support synchronous generation. This paper proposes an Energy Management System algorithm that optimizes a microgrid, maximizing integration renewable energy and considering possibility disconnecting all generators. The is applied to microgrid modelled with real data two economic dispatch are analysed: first requires keeping at least one generator connected provide frequency regulation following standard practice; second considers disconnection conventional generation relying capabilities when sufficient reserve available. results show proposed strategy reduces operational cost system, as well solar PV curtailment diesel consumption.
